I'd like to note that Kenny Aronoff also toured with The Smasing Pumpkins in '98.  It was arguably their best tour.

Thanks Jan!  This is great.  I learned a lot.
It's interesting to me that there are some solo artists who have contributed to Patty's albums whom you didn't mention such as Emmylou Harris and Buddy and Julie Miller, yet you did identify as contributors other solo artists such as Carrie Rodriguez, Ian McLagan and Lisa Germano.  Hmmmm.
Anyway, this is a great thread!

Oh Oh, do I get any points because they are on the Links Page?
You are right, they certainly do belong here. You are such a huge fan of theirs, I would love it if you wrote some blurbs that I could put up. Otherwise, I'll try to fit them into smallish paragraphs and add, pretty hard to limit Emmylou to something small though.

Thank you Arlene for writing up some very fine representations of Emmylou and Buddy and Julie Miller. I know you had it must have been a tribulation squeezing Emmylou’s into one paragraph, her body of work is beyond measure. I can’t believe she is not yet in the CMA Hall of Fame.
