Hi, I don't know if anyone has ever said this before but if you are a fan of Patty's there is a good chance you would love Allison Moorer. She is a remarkable artist and I am one of her biggest fans. All of her albums are uniquely her own and she is constantly evolving (just like Patty). That being said their styles are different but strangely the same, their music hits you like a ton of bricks. You know from the opening note that you are witnessing something spectacular and you will always hold everything else you ever hear up against it, and never be satisfied. Allison has a new album coming out this Tuesday, her long awaited fifth album titled "The Duel" It seems more rock inspired but there is no label you can place on her. The album I would recommend the most is "The Hardest Part" it is a masterpiece. It truly changed my life and the way I hear music. I have yet to hear "The Duel" but I'm sure it will be a great piece of musical art so please purchase it and request it anywhere and everywhere you can.

Posts: 554	Re: Allison Moorer Reply #2 - 04/12/04 at 00:32:47 I love I Am Shelby Lynne - the last two tracks of that album are unforgettable: "Where I'm From" and "Black Light Blue". The whole album is a must have. I think Identity Crisis is excellent too, one track of that album is my fave from a Paste comp.

John Davis has a nice solo record coming out in March. You can check out a review of it in the new issue of BLENDER.
